Description
The Cecilie Alloy Pole from Åsnes are touring ski poles made of 7075 aluminum that are suitable for most mountain tours. The poles have a long and comfortable EVA foam handle and a practical wrist strap that can be adjusted for easy grip changes in varying terrain. The baskets are 105 mm wide and made of Hypalon and PA6. They rotate when mounted, providing varied pressure on the baskets for longer durability.
Choosing the length of the poles
When choosing the length of your touring poles, a rule of thumb is that the pole should be 5 cm shorter than reaching your armpit when standing on the ground. Another rule of thumb is that touring poles should be 30-40 cm shorter than your height. Touring ski poles are usually shorter than regular ski poles because you want optimal blood circulation to your hands and arms in cold conditions, and to avoid putting too much strain on your shoulders. Especially if you are also pulling a sled, your arms need to be in a natural position so that you're not solely relying on your upper body. In addition to this, the choice of pole length is highly personal, and this is simply a recommendation.
