The helmet has integrated MIPS - Multi-directional Impact Protection System - that protects the brain from the rotation that occurs during a crash. The rotational force to the brain can cause the most serious brain injuries. With MIPS, the outer shell and the inner shell can slide relative to each other, reducing rotation and preventing head and brain injuries. Tests and studies show that MIPS significantly reduces force and decreases the risk of a severe brain injury.
