Men's Beta Jacket is Arc'teryx most versatile shell jacket that is waterproof and breathable. The shell jacket is made from durable material with a Gore-Tex ePE membrane that is lightweight, strong, and free from PFC. The membrane provides wind and waterproof protection along with good breathability. The inner material of C-KNIT offers comfort, while the low-profile StormHood™ is easy to adjust, providing good coverage without obstructing vision. The joints are articulated for increased mobility.
The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, yet as durable as previously used materials. It can be noticed that the outer fabric "wets out" slightly faster on products with the ePE membrane, but it does not affect the waterproofness of the membrane itself. If the material seems to "wet out" faster than desired, the jacket can be washed and dried to remove oil residues and restore the DWR treatment to its full strength.
