The meal requires no added water and can be prepared and eaten directly from the durable pouch. The dish is lactose-free, so it is also suitable for you if you are lactose intolerant. To heat the pouch, you can use a separate heating bag, a water bath, or a regular saucepan. A heating bag offers the advantage of avoiding an open flame, which is suitable in places such as hunting towers, boats, or where there is a risk of fire. The food can also be eaten unheated.
