The Erratic Crash Pad from Black Diamond is designed for climbers who venture deep into the terrain to reach remote boulder problems. This crash pad is light enough for long approaches, while offering high durability and reliable fall protection.
The Erratic is built with a focus on hard-to-reach bouldering areas and is made from carefully selected materials to withstand heavy use. The outer fabric consists of Dynex ripstop weave with a water-repellent TPU coating, and the corners are reinforced with extra layers of fabric for increased durability. The advanced foam construction absorbs falls effectively and improves water resistance. The pad has a sandwich construction with open-cell foam surrounded by layers of cross-linked closed-cell foam on the top and bottom, providing a total thickness of 11 cm.
The crash pad is equipped with a padded and highly adjustable backpack-style carrying system, specially developed for long approaches and heavy loads. The Erratic also features an integrated multi-pad carry system, allowing you to transport all your gear easily.
