GiroGiro Ella Black Rails

VIVID™ is a patented lens technology developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS Optics, which optimizes the visual experience on snow - improves contrast and increases the definition of objects in the environment. VIVID™ technology also reduces the strain on the eyes, improves reaction time and gives increased confidence in what the eyes perceive and provides accurate visibility without color saturation. VIVID™ technology manipulates light precisely by letting in contrast-enhancing blue light and blocks harmful UV light.

Expansion View Technology +

With the further developed EXV +, the hemispherical lens (6 x 1.5 degrees) has been given a wider field of view than ever before. Wider frames do not necessarily provide a wider field of view because the peripheral vision is limited by the frame and the shape of the lens. Giro's laboratory tests have shown that the technology with EXV + is most effective and surpasses many of the widest fishbowl lenses on the market.

The cylindrical lens is injection molded and provides refined optics and minimized distortion that can normally occur in thermoformed lenses.

The system is designed with self-locating magnets that allow quick replacement of the lens, even with gloves on. Four magnets snap the lens and keep it locked during use.

Ventilation on the top releases moisture and creates an air barrier to minimize the risk of fog. EVAK uses a newly developed foam made of an ultra-durable, non-absorbent material. The technology is only available on goggles with VIVID lenses.

Triple Layer Face Foam

Three layers of foam with microfleece are shaped to the face and provide comfort.

Giro goggles are treated with a coating that counteracts fog.

These goggles are prepared for users who wear glasses. OTG (Over-The-Glasses) has an interior with extra volume that holds glasses of varying sizes and provides space for the temples on each side. The increased air volume keeps the vision clear and free from fog.
