Aerostat Down 7.0 Mat Regular is a down sleeping mat based on Exped technology. Mountain Equipment has further developed the mat with a chamber system they call Helix. This chamber system runs lengthwise in the vertical down chambers. Helix is a spiral with mesh that helps keep the down in place and ensures higher pressure density. This also significantly increases the insulation value of the mat.

The mat uses a durable and lightweight 30 denier ripstop polyester outer fabric with TPU coating. All walls are laminated, and the TPU chambers inside are also reinforced to prevent delamination under heavy load. Aerostat inflates quickly with the included wind sock attached to the stuff sack. This minimizes moisture in the mat.
