Freino Z from Petzl is an auto-locking carabiner developed for caving and abseiling with specific descenders. It makes it easy to increase or adjust braking friction on the rope during descent, and helps you manage your abseiling equipment with more control.

The carabiner's friction spur provides extra braking when you need it, and you can quickly insert and remove the rope with one hand. The design also makes it easier when you want to create a tie-off, and the swiveling construction reduces the risk of dropping the descender when moving it from the gear loop to the semi-circular carabiner on the harness.
