Outside Skin 42 mm from Salomon is a minimalist and functional climbing skin system, specially developed for the Salomon Outside 65 Nordic Backcountry touring skis. The climbing skins provide reliable grip on uphill sections and in rolling terrain while maintaining good glide performance during longer tours in the mountains and forests.

These climbing skins are made from mohair, a material known for delivering excellent glide combined with effective grip when the terrain gets steeper. The stripped-back design does not cover the entire ski base and has no rear attachment, which minimizes friction and keeps the weight low. Installation is quick and smooth with a front tip attachment that fastens securely into the tip notches on the Outside 65 skis, making them easy to put on and take off as needed during the tour.
