The compass housing is rotatable and adapted for use with the SILVA 1-2-3 System®, making it easy to quickly take a bearing and follow a compass course. The baseplate is equipped with a millimeter scale as well as the scales 1:25,000 and 1:50,000, making it compatible with most common topographic and outdoor maps. Inside the capsule there is a declination scale for easy correction to magnetic north. The included neck lanyard has a safety release and can be easily removed or attached as needed.
