The Gunde Beanie from Swix was first launched in 1974 and was done as a marketing idea. The color rings around the hat represented the existing colored waxes in our wax line at that time. This hat is named after and worn by 6-time Olympic medalist Swedish cross-country skier Gunde Svan.
