The tent combines a durable flysheet with a high hydrostatic head, a robust floor for damp ground, and a lightweight inner tent construction with good ventilation. The trekking poles are used as the main support, while two lightweight aluminum poles at the ends increase interior space and stability. The compact packed size makes the Io 2 easy to pack down, even in smaller backpacks on multi-day trips.
