The Polar 2-Section V2 from Åsnes is the market's most durable Carbon Fiber and Kevlar pole, designed for long mountain tours and peak trips. This is a lightweight and solid mountain pole with a Carbon Fiber upper tube and a lower tube where the lower part has been reinforced with Kevlar. Kevlar threads are spun around the lower tube to increase strength and make it more resistant to impacts and stresses. The pole has a new and solid Flick-Lock that easily opens and closes when adjusting the length. The handle is ergonomic and made of EVA, making it comfortable to hold over time, while the smart adjustment on the strap makes it easy to vary the grip without having to adjust the pole length each time.
In particularly cold climates, it is important to ensure that the hand is kept low and preferably below the heart to retain warmth. It comes with a solid 105mm basket made of Hypalon and PA6. It rotates when mounted, ensuring variation in the load on the basket and increased durability.
