The fasteners make your Thule roof tent compatible with lockable Thule mounting brackets for quick installation, allowing you to lock the tent to the car and mount and dismount it twice as fast. With pre-drilled holes, you can easily remove previous mounting rails and install the new ones without needing to drill.
