Outnorth's sustainability filtering
At Outnorth, the environment and sustainability matter to us, and we know our customers feel the same way. Therefore, we want to make it possible for you as a customer to easily find products that meet our selected sustainability criteria. While we include information about environmental labels and certifications in our product descriptions, the abundance of designations and technical terms can be overwhelming. To simplify, we have created a straightforward list of sustainability labels that we choose to display using the “Sustainability” filter.

The Fairtrade product label aims to ensure that products are manufactured in an ethical manner. Therefore, raw material producers who receive a remark are first given the chance to correct the problems. But if something serious is discovered, such as child labor, the producer can lose the certification. The Fairtrade label guarantees that the product, in whole or in part, contains Fairtrade-certified ingredients.
Not transported by air
Not transported by air is our own label which means that the actual product you are buying has not been transported by air on the routes from the factory to our warehouses. Instead, the products are transported using other options such as boat or train. We do this to reduce CO2e emissions from transport. Not transported by air is applied to products from brands that have signed and guarantee that they do not use air to transport products from the factories to our warehouses. In the design and development phase of a product, flights can still be used, but the main product sold to customers cannot be transported by air.
