To GORE-TEX, responsible performance means upholding its commitment to sustainability at the same high level as its commitment to performance — by developing more sustainable materials, technologies, and processes.

This dedication inspires the development of GORE-TEX product technologies that offer new levels of both functional, durable performance and sustainability: beginning in fall/winter 2025, the vast majority of GORE-TEX consumer products, including membranes and DWR, will be produced without intentionally added per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS).

Next-generation GORE-TEX products feature an innovative new membrane that delivers lasting waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection along with long-lasting comfort. They have a reduced carbon footprint thanks to the use of recycled textiles and the adoption of alternative dyeing techniques. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 confirms that GORE-TEX products are safe to wear, while bluesign® certification confirms they are crafted from safe raw materials and chemicals with a traceable and reliable origin.
