Edelrid was founded in 1863 by Julius EDELmann and Carl RIDer in the German Alps. The company revolutionized the climbing sport in 1953 when it launched its polyamide kernmantle rope. Today, Edelrid offers a wide range of products in which quality and safety come first. They are perhaps best known for their ropes, climbing harnesses, knives, cable kits, loops and rope bags.
