Wrightsock was founded in 1948 by Aileen and E.B. Wrightenberry, who initially bought and packaged socks for grocery stores. It was not until 1990 that the company found its niche and began to develop its own double-layer socks designed to prevent blisters during exercise. Since then, their socks have become a staple in the wardrobes of runners and fitness enthusiasts worldwide.
