In running, there are typically three different styles: supination, neutral, and pronation. Most runners are pronators – meaning they place most of the load on the inside of the foot when running. A lesser number are neutral runners, while very few are supinators – meaning they place the load on the outside of the foot. If you pronate, you would do well to choose a shoe with a stiff inside and a wedge that supports and prevents the foot from rotating inward. Running Shoes for Asphalt
