Gregory was founded by Wayne Gregory in 1977 in San Diego, California. Wayne worked in an outdoor store in the late 70's where he realized that the backpacks they sold did not fit perfectly for the individual. Wayne began designing her own backpacks and tailoring them to each gender - women and men based on their unique needs. Gregory was started and became a pioneer for new innovative bearing systems, new materials and constructions. Gregory as a backpack specialist keywords are comfort, quality and performance. Now, after more than four decades, Gregory has a broad experience through millions of backpacks sold, from having developed and tested hundreds of prototypes with millions of users as references from thousands of adventures. Today, Gregory operates from his headquarters at the base of the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah.
